It’s a new school year here as ACS Stainless as we welcome our next batch of new apprentices to the business.
Starting with us are; Habib, Tori, Ciaran, Jordan and Oliver, who’ll be working in a mix of departments, including sales, technical, design and fabrication. As well as getting hands-on experience and mentoring from our team, each apprentice will attend Leeds City College whilst working towards their qualifications.
Managing Director David Flannery commented – “We’ve been taking on apprentices for many years now, and we’re really proud to work with local schools and colleges in Leeds to give young people new opportunities to learn whilst earning a wage. We’ve had many apprentices stay with us long-term following qualification, who now work in senior positions within the business, which is a testament to the program and our whole team.
“It’s also a really exciting time for our apprentices to start with new products and manufacturing techniques being launched in early 2023.”
Jordan, who is working in the welding and fabrication department, chose the apprenticeship route following a week’s work experience in our factory and was really impressed with the state-of-the-art facilities.
