With four decades of expertise behind us, ACS is proudly driving change in the construction sector, evolving from a manufacturer into a trusted service partner. This shift has deepened our commitment to collaboration and knowledge-sharing, recognising that our role now extends well beyond product supply.
In support of that commitment, this week we’ve launched a brand-new, free CPD seminar: ‘Navigating Modern Masonry Facades’. It’s designed to help our peers across the industry deepen their understanding of façade safety, performance, and compliance.
In this article Paul Ruding, who leads our CPD programme, shares more about the thinking behind the launch and what attendees can expect.

Elevating Expertise: ACS’s Commitment to Industry Professionals
18 months ago, we launched our CPD programme – a defining moment that marked ACS’ evolution from a trusted manufacturer into a true service partner for the construction industry. It was a show of our commitment to supporting architects, specifiers, and engineers in delivering safer, more sustainable tall buildings.
Since then, over 1,000 professionals have registered to access our sessions, drawn by our focus on practical insight, best practice, and technical clarity.
Our New CPD ‘Navigating Modern Masonry Facades’
Now, we’re building on that success, and on 25th June, will launch the latest addition to the programme: ‘Navigating Modern Masonry Facades’ – a comprehensive new CPD that consolidates our expertise in façade systems and addresses the complex challenges facing those working on mid- to high-rise projects.
This CPD goes beyond materials. It reflects our growing role as a façade solutions partner, offering early-stage collaboration that supports design teams in achieving not only compliance but enhanced safety, buildability and performance. As our client and collaborator James Dealtry Smith at Leonard Design recently noted, our partnership “is helping push the industry forward – not just by supplying products, but by understanding how they function within the larger context of safety, compliance, and performance.” That kind of alignment is not just encouraging – it’s essential.
Our continued investment in the CPD programme is rooted in a simple belief: knowledge should be freely shared. We deliberately offer our sessions at no cost, with no commercial agenda because we recognise the urgent need for better, shared understanding if the industry is to deliver the volume of homes required while protecting lives and livelihoods.

Responding to the Building Safety Act
This is particularly vital in the wake of the Building Safety Act, one of the most significant legislative changes to impact our industry in a generation. With the implementation of Gateway Two now in force, design and build teams must demonstrate a far greater degree of scrutiny, accountability and technical validation before construction begins. For façades, that requires a holistic approach from early-stage design, through specification, detailing, and into installation.
Manufacturers and suppliers can no longer remain at arm’s length, and we believe it is our responsibility to step into the conversation earlier than we’ve done historically – ensuring our systems are not only compliant but fully understood, and capable of supporting robust, buildable solutions that stand up to regulatory and real-world pressures alike.
Our CPDs are a reflection of that; designed to empower professionals with technical knowledge and confidence, our CPDs help to raise the bar for façade performance across the board.
Join Us in Raising the Bar
As we prepare to launch ‘Navigating Modern Masonry Facades’, we remain as committed as ever to learning, sharing, and collaborating – and we invite you to join us.
