Earlier this week we introduced you to David Evans and now are also delighted to welcome Beverley Whiting, who brings a wealth of experience and industry knowledge on masonry support systems having worked extensively with them throughout her career.
Here she tells us how she’s looking forward to embracing a new opportunity at ACS and bolstering her specialism while building new relationships.
I’ve worked in construction for 22 years so I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in at ACS and continuing my career progression. I’m lucky to have a lot of experience working with masonry support with a solid knowledge of the products and technical comprehension so I feel well versed to break new ground and create new opportunities for ACS.
I fell into construction by accident, beginning my professional life in finance as a loan underwriter. It was often an unpleasant job, so I left and began working for a fairly small company responsible for refitting and refurbishing public leisure centres and private gym chains. I must have liked it as I was with them for 13 years.
Embracing a New Opportunity at ACS
From there, I haven’t looked back, and construction has been my focus professionally with roles as Sales Coordinator to Regional Account Executive, and most recently an Area Sales Manager, boosting my experience and providing me with a great platform to work from.
And now, I’m at ACS where no two days are the same! I love seeing clients face to face, stepping on site with big boots and a high viz jacket, and really seeing the fruits of our labour.
And, while the industry is facing a lot of challenges, I’m keen to play my part, establishing strong relationships with customers old and new. I’d describe myself as the friendly face of masonry support systems – I’m committed to ensuring that my customers are supplied with the most cost effective yet fit for purpose solutions and I am fastidious about maintaining communication throughout the entire project.
Forging New Relationships and Driving Growth
I’m really excited to be at ACS at a time when there’s a drive for positive change and growth. The company environment is friendly and everyone is very present and approachable – it’s clear that everyone is working for the same goal and that’s a great place to be. Our sales and technical teams are incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic, I’m looking forward to working with them, forging new relationships and learning from them.
