We are delighted to have won at the March Made in Yorkshire Awards!

The event – held in Leeds’ New Dock Hall – celebrated the world-class companies based in and around Yorkshire.

ACS was awarded the Manufacturing Future Talent Award. Judges noted that our “ongoing commitment to employee training and performance” stood out in the judging process. They were also impressed by our support of the region’s armed forces, having signed a pledge in 2021 to offer any former armed forces personnel a job interview.

Speaking at the ceremony, our Managing Director David Flannery said:

“We are thrilled to have been recognised by Insider’s judges and to have won this award.

“The construction and manufacturing sector have long battles ahead as we seek to address skills shortages; it’s imperative that we go above and beyond in our pursuit of new talent – investing in skills and prospects to ensure that we adequately equip the leaders of the future.

“This award is testament to that and I thank all of my incredible colleagues who embody our ACS values, and continually share knowledge and best practice as we strive to create safer and more sustainable buildings.”

ACS will now move forward to the national Made in the UK Awards ceremony this June. The award is the latest accolade for our team; in 2023 we were awarded the Manufacturer of the Year Award by Yorkshire Insider, and we were recently nominated for Building Design’s Industry / Manufacturing Partner of the Year Accolade.
