ACS are proud to be one of the key sponsors of “The Extra Mile Challenge” this year and have donated £10,000.
Leeds Rhinos legend Kevin Sinfield OBE has commenced “The Extra Mile Challenge” today for his friend Rob Burrow, former Leeds Rhinos Rugby League player, who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in December 2019.
The challenge will take place on Monday 22nd November and Tuesday 23rd November, and Kevin will lead a team to undertake a remarkable fundraising challenge to run from Leicester Tigers’ Mattioli Woods Welford Road stadium to Headingley Rugby Stadium in Leeds, the home of Leeds Rhinos, in aid of two charities in support of the motor neurone disease community.
Sinfield is aiming to raise £100,000 which will be equally split between the MND Association and the appeal to build The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease in Leeds.
