In this Adjustable Head Restraint (AHR) Buyers Guide we hope to provide information to assist with the ordering and acquisition of ACS AHR’s and various options available.

ACS offers a range of head restraint fixings to suit site construction, these restraints connect to either the steel or concrete.

  • Sliding Anchors are used to tie the inner and outer leaf to the structure of the building and provide lateral restraint whilst allowing vertical movement.
  • Adjustable Head Restraint (AHR) are used to restrain the top of the inner leaf to the underside of the structure to allows differential movement whilst providing lateral restraint to the panel.
  • Soffit Restraints clamp around the head of 100mm, 140mm or 215mm blocks and connect to the underside of the structure and allows vertical movement whilst providing lateral restraint to the inner leaf.

All head restraints are manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel but can be manufactured from both grade 316 stainless steel or mild steel upon request.

How To Order

When ordering head restraints please provide the following:

Sliding Anchors

  • Dimension of the leg. ie 400mm
  • Size of fixing holes required ie 7mm or 10mm
  • Type of tie and projection

Adjustable Head Restraint

  • Size of fixing hole required ie 7mm or 10mm

Soffit Restraint

  • Size of block
  • Size of fixing hole required ie 7mm or 10mm
