Congratulations to Joshua Foxton on winning the Fabrication and Welding apprentice of the year award. Josh battled his way through over 400 nominees from over 200 companies to win the award.
This award has been developed to recognise the achievement of fabrication and welding apprentices. Achievements include producing outstanding work, overcoming barriers or being a great ambassador for a company.
ACS employee wins apprentice of the year
The award ceremony was held on 30th March 2017 at Firth Court part of Sheffield University where members of the AMRC board including Executive Dean Professor Keith Ridgeway CBE, founder of the AMRC, Tim Wheeler, Boeing Country Manager UK & Norway and several other key members from leading companies gathered to celebrate the event.
The judging panel comprised of senior AMRC staff and business leaders including Kerry Featherstone Director of AMRC Training Centre and David Pitchforth Managing Director of Boeing. Josh’s commitment, skill and attitude was able to extremely impress the board.
Josh is currently training in various departments here at ACS as well as at the AMRC Training Centre, one of Europe’s leading engineering research and training centres, where he is being taught by knowledgeable tutors on state of the art equipment.
Josh embodies the values and commitment that ACS is renowned for. Developing the very best people to continue to deliver the highest products and service in the industry. He is an outstanding individual who is at the very top of Fabrication and Welding. Josh is sure to develop into a future senior role here at ACS.
