The product has been in the spotlight in recent weeks after ACS secured a major industry partnership with global construction leader The Hilti Group, created to advance safety standards and promote best practices in the construction industry.
Today, we meet ACS’s Engineering Director Matt Freeman and National Account Director Jamie Remmer as they discuss this milestone and what Certus™ means for the future of construction.

During his 18 years with the ACS team, Matt has been instrumental in driving innovation, ensuring that safety and efficiency remain central to every design. Extensive market research and collaboration with architects and contractors have informed Certus™, which is manufactured off-site in a factory-controlled environment, ensuring the product reduces time spent on-site and mitigates defects. Certus™ offers resilience and adaptability, as it can be installed regardless of weather and site conditions, removing brickwork from the critical path of construction schedules.
In 2023, ACS partnered with Willmott Dixon, whose subsidiary Collida recognised that Certus™ aligns with sustainable construction goals. “We saw the opportunity to contribute in real-time within a dynamic ecosystem,” Matt reflects. “That initial collaboration paved the way for broader market adoption of Certus™, establishing it as a key component in the sustainable building toolkit.”
