We’re delighted to announce that ACS has been named Steel Specialist of the Year at the prestigious Construction News CN Specialist Awards – an accolade that reflects the hard work, innovation, and commitment of our team.
The awards ceremony was held in London on 6th September and was attended by 650 professionals from across the industry. A panel of well-known judges determined the winners, describing ACS as “industry-leading” adding that they were impressed by our dedication to sustainability, singling out our Science-Based Targets, which align our business with global efforts to combat climate change
Judges also praised our significant investment in modernising our facilities, ensuring we remain at the forefront of steel manufacturing. Additionally, they commended our pioneering training programmes, which are helping to transition traditional manufacturing skills into the digital age, equipping our workforce with the tools to succeed in an evolving industry.
This award caps off an exceptional year of recognition for ACS. In the spring, we were honoured with the Manufacturer of the Year title by Yorkshire Business Insider, and we also received a Highly Commended nod in their national awards.
The accolades highlight our continued focus on innovation, sustainability, and excellence in everything we do as our Managing Director, David Flannery explained: “At ACS, we take great pride not just in the sustainable and innovative products we create, but also in our commitment to investing in people and ideas that protect our environment and shape the future of our industry.
“Receiving this award from Construction News is a true testament to our hard work, and we’re honoured to be recognised by our peers in the industry. Our congratulations to all the winners from the evening.”
Now in its 20th year, the CN Specialist Awards are a key event in the construction calendar, bringing together the UK’s leading specialist contractors for an evening of celebration and networking. You can learn more about the event here.
