Nine Elms Parkside

Nine Elms is a new district for London, located perfectly between Vauxhall and Battersea. Among the many new developments here is Nine Elms Parkside – a sleek residential development located in Vauxhall, London.

The building features 262 apartments contained within the three buildings which vary between 11 and 13 storeys. A communal courtyard on the first-floor podium connects the three towers together.

ACS Products:

The building boasts an interesting façade that features a majority of ACS products – from cast in channel, masonry support, bespoke steelwork, lintels, windposts, restraint ties, stone supports, stone restraints and cavity trays.

The variety of our products was needed thanks to the building’s complex exterior, one featuring setback panels, feature piers, bolt on steel balconies and a precast stone feature band to each floor, as well as multi coloured brickwork.

Masonry Support

Intricate brickwork design, while giving the building a striking look, presents significant challenges. Our design team worked closely with the architect and contract teams to provide a masonry support solution, that allowed the desired aesthetic while maintaining structural integrity.

All ACS Masonry Support products carry the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) mark, ensuring clarity, compliance, and confidence in the solutions we provide.

Wall Ties

Our cavity wall ties, frame cramps and channel ties set the industry standard. Made from high quality, corrosion-resistant grade steel, they’re built for longevity and reliability.

The structural integrity of a cavity wall depends significantly on the quality of its ties. This is why our products are trusted by some of the biggest names in construction for highrise buildings of all kinds across the UK.

Cavity Trays

The G-Tray™ A1 Non-Combustible Cavity Tray sets new safety standards. As the world’s first A1, Non-Combustible, stainless steel cavity tray, it has achieved the safest classification possible and is the first in the UK to achieve full BBA Certification.

It satisfies fire safety regulations and considers essential processes, such as thermal bridging and differential movement.

Lintels

For this project, our precision-engineered lintels were critical for ensuring the structural integrity of all window and door openings. They provided essential support, distributing the load of the masonry above and prevent potential structural issues.

ACS lintels has achieved a Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) mark, after passing the Organisational Assessment and Product Set Submission verification.

Specialist Development:

We helped bring this vision to life, developing intricate details of the design for 12 months before the project commenced, working closely with Galliard Homes and the design team to deliver the scheme.

Due to the stepping of the façade, large piers and stone feature bands, we also carefully considered the corners of the structure, with cavities reaching up to 355mm and the masonry returning on itself. We created bespoke bracketry, designed using finite element analysis to understand the stresses and deflections of the steelwork.

We are proud to have been involved.
