ACHIEVING THE CCPI MARK

We are pleased to announce that eight ACS products have achieved a Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) mark – passing the Organisational Assessment and Product Set Submission verification.

Among the newly accredited products are;

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR you!

CCPI gives confidence to buyers and specifiers by driving industry standards to ensure that product information is created, maintained, and presented accurately.

The mark is a testament to our commitment to clear and accurate presentation of product information – something we actively lobby for across the sector.

The CCPI was created in direct response to Dame Judith Hackitt’s review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety, to drive higher standards and promote an urgent and positive behaviour change in the way the construction product manufacturing industry manages and provides information on their products. Ensuring that product information is; CLEAR, ACCURATE, UP-TO-DATE, ACCESSIBLE and UNAMBIGUOUS.

HOW WE ACHIEVED THE CCPI MARK ON A NUMBER OF PRODUCT GROUPS

The detailed review carried out by the Construction Product Association (CPA) covers eleven areas of the business/product to ensure we met or exceed their requirements. This includes the process in how we create product information, how we communicate any changes to this information, and how we present this information.

Initially, a Leadership and Culture survey was conducted within the business, which included anonymous surveys and follow up interviews. Consequently, we were provided with a detailed report on whether the clauses were ‘fully met, partially met, or not met‘. Once the verifiers were satisfied that we had ‘fully met’ all eleven clauses, we were then rewarded with the CCPI mark.

Achieving CCPI on eight different product groups within the last six months is something we’re really proud of, but we’re not stopping here! Our team is excited to push our other products through the CCPI process as we strive to integrate their valuable feedback and evolve our products so that they can help create safer and more sustainable buildings.
